The perfect NUDE Lipsticks!
11/06/2014 01:30:00 PM
Hey everyone!
One of the most hyped up trends right now are nude lips (blame Kylie Jenner) and I wanted to share how I achieve the perfect nude lips and how YOU can find the shade that suits you!
A lot of people believe that one nude shade (i.e. MAC Whirl lipliner) would suit all skin types. While a nude lip would be the most flattering on all skin tones, it definitely isn't the right NUDE shade for everyone. (Disclaimer - you can rock any nude shade you want)
Here, I've compiled a list of my personal favorite list of different nudes and how they might look on different skin types!
MAC Twig: my first ever nude! It leans more towards a brown nude rather than a pink nude which is perfect for more tan skin tones and WOC.
MAC Creme in Your Coffee: this has a hint of pink but it leans more towards a lighter brown nude and is perfect for tan to more olive skin tones.
MAC Viva Glam II: I prefer wearing this lightly or topped of with my Essence Matt Lip Cream in Soft Rose to make it the perfect pink nude (my new fave combo). It will definitely be a perfect dark nude for tan skin tones and WOC.
NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops: this has more of a pink undertone to it and is perfect for everyday use. Amazing for people with more pink or yellow undertones in their skin.
Essence Matt Lip Cream in Soft Nude: I love this on top of Twig to lighten it up just a tad and on its own it is a great alternative to wearing Twig.
NYX Lipliner in Ever: the perfect spiced nude. It has a more red-brown under tone and looks beautiful with more olive or yellow undertone skin tones.
NYX Lipliner in Pikaboo Neutral: this is a more pink nude shade which goes perfectly with NYX Pops. Great for pink/yellow undertones.
Essence Lipliner in In The Nude: basic true nude shades that works well with most nudes. A must have shade that is very universal. Its a beautiful base for light and dark nude lipsticks.
NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brule: my lightest nude shade. I love this for the very light makeup days where I want my outfit or eye makeup to stand out. Works wonderful on pink undertones and medium to light skin.
