What I've Been Loving - January 2015

1/19/2015 08:46:00 PM

Hey everyone!

I thought I'd do a 'What I've Been Loving' post since I missed out on a few favorites. These are the things I've been using on a daily basis and have been loving!

1. MAC's Lipstick in Mehr
The newest MAC Lipstick to my collection! It's a bit out of my comfort zone since its leaning more towards a pinky-nude rather than a brown tone nude, which I usually gravitate to more and is pure matte which I haven't been using in a while. I love it on its own when I want to go with a softer look or with Viva Glam III for a ombre look.

2. MAC's Lipstick in Viva Glam III
I've had this for so long but I stopped using it for a while because I've been leaning towards lighter, more nude shades. However, I've been obsessing over ombre lips lately and I've been loving this with Mehr to achieve just that!

3. Georgio Armani Rouge d'ARMANI Lipstick in 201
I got this as a gift and it is probably one of my favorite gifts in a while! I wish it weren't as glossy but the pigmentation, longevity and moisture that come with it are more than enough compensation! It looks exactly like Retro by MAC if you would like a cheaper dupe. I'm sure you can find a cheaper, drugstore dupe too!

4. Coastal Scents Sleek Silhouette Palette

I've had this palette for over a year and a half and I stopped using it for a while since I got it at the beginning of this serious obsession with makeup. I've been using the middle shade from the bottom row as an under eye brightener and let me just say, it is a total game changer! Everyone (even my mother who rarely comments on my face makeup) has been asking me about what I've been using under my eyes and this is it! I've also been using the two top shades from the third column to contour and bronze. I've used the last bronzy shade in the last row as a highlight too during the summer for a full bronze face. I don't really gravitate towards the blushes and the two highlighters (they have very little shimmer to them).

5. Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette
I hauled this a while back and I've been loving this to fill in my really sparse areas in my brows and also defining the arch of my brow. I use this with a ashy brown eyeshadow (that I sadly hit pan on and is almost done) from my Coastal Scents 88 Eyeshadow Palette.

6.Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

You can see a full review of my Makeup Geek collection here.

7. Bourjois Volume Glamour Mascara
I got this in a whim at a annual clearance sale because I needed a new mascara and I was pleasantly surprised about how voluminous and lengthening this mascara is! It rarely clumps (only when I go a little overboard with 4-5 layers) and is very black. The only downfall is that my lashes seem to fall after a few hours so it's definitely not a long-lasting mascara.

8. Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
A holy grail skin care item I've been using for about 5 years. I've been using it on and off, whether to test out new products or to make sure my skin doesn't get used to it as it can stop being effective. I recently repurchased this and it helps for those S.O.S moments where you get an unexpected zit!

9. Inglot Translucent Loose Powder in 212

I hauled this a while back and I've been loving it ever since! I initially got this by recommendation from a friend as an under-eye setting powder that I would also use all over my face, but I felt it was turning my concealer grey. However, I still love it so much for a all over powder.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Tell me what kind of posts you would like to see from me in the comments below!
